Adnan Çoker, born in 1927 in Istanbul, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and won awards for his "line drawing" works. After training in Europe, particularly under Andre Lhote and Henri Goetz in Paris, he explored museums in Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Returning to Turkey in 1960, he became an assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts. Çoker received accolades in various exhibitions, including the Istanbul Festival and State Exhibition. In 1963, he co-founded the Blue Group and later pursued studies in Paris and Salzburg. In the late 1960s, Çoker entered a new phase marked by "Black Paintings" and "Black Symmetry" exhibitions, incorporating diverse techniques and electronic music. His achievements include success at the 1973 DYO Exhibition and second prizes at the 1976 Alexandria Biennale. Çoker held leadership roles at Mimar Sinan University and won the Friendship, Peace, and Art award at the 1990 3rd Asia-Europe Biennial.
